Student Code of Conduct

For smooth functioning of the college and achieving the goal of becoming global professional, following decorum should be maintained.

Campus decorum

  1. The students should have a sense of elation for being student of a superb Institute and regard for seniors / superiors.
  2. Exchange of greetings with the members of the management, faculty and staff by saying Good Morning SIR is highly recommended.
  3. Students shall avoid using insulting, inciting, threatening language when talking with fellow students and should totally avoid violence.
  4. Students are expected to use only courteous and polite language and behave with decorum when talking to the faculty and staff members of the college and hostel.
  5. Students shall not talk or act in any manner outside the institution that would bring disrepute to the institution.
  6. Ragging anywhere in the campus or outside the campus is strictly prohibited by court of law,. Student found involved would be rusticated from the Institute and handed over to the Court of law.
  7. Students should help in keeping the campus neat and tidy. Spitting, throwing pieces of paper, writing on the walls, etc are not allowed inside the college campus.
  8. Students should act in a responsible manner and should not harm or damage the college building, books, equipments, furniture, etc. The cost of any damage so caused will be recovered from the students.
  9. Vehicles should be parked in assigned parking lots only.
  10. No notice of any kind shall be circulated among students or displayed on notice boards or black boards without the written permission and approval of the Director/Principal.

No report should be sent to press or TV channels without the written permission and approval of the Director/Principal.

  1. Students are expected to read notices/circulars displayed on the notice boards or on the intranet regularly. Ignorance of not reading any notice or circular displayed shall not be accepted as an excuse failing to comply with the directions contained in it.
  2. You are supposed to deposit required fees well in time failing which extra fine would be charged & entry into the campus would be restricted.
  3. Help to maintain the beauty, serenity and greenery of the campus. Your suggestions for campus beautification & development shall always be welcome.
  4. Students shall come to the college in clean, tidy and decent dress.
  5. The Management or Director/Principal’s decision shall be final in all matters of punishment of the students for the violation of any of the rules and regulation of the college.

 (B) Class Room Decorum

  1. Students should come to their classes punctually and regularly. In case their attendance is less than 75% they may be debarred from appearing in the University Exams as per the ORDINANCES.
  2. On entering the class, students should observe strict silence irrespective of the presence 0r absence of the teacher.
  3. The students should get up quietly as the teacher enters the class and keep standing till you are asked to be seated.
  4. No student is permitted to leave the class room during class hours under the pretext  of going toilets, visiting office, etc.
  5. You are supposed to procure your identity cards from the Adam. office. The security guards would allow you to enter the Institutional premises or the classes only when you show your identity card to them.
  6. You are not supposed to remain absent from the classes without prior permission of the Principal (or the Proctor/ Vice- Principal in his absence). Disciplinary action would be taken against such students under intimation to their parents/ guardians.
  7. Use of cell phones/ Mobiles is strictly prohibited in the classrooms.
  8. In case the class is vacant, students would not loiter in the corridor and cause noise pollution. They should use their vacant hours in the library or at the hobbies centers.

(C) Library Decorum

  1. Books are your best friends in leisure hours. Make use of the Library as much as possible for this purpose.
  2. Strict silence is to be observed in the library. Gossiping is prohibited there.
  3. Keep your personal books and bags outside the library
  4. Books are issued only on the production of ID cards and should be returned within prescribed time.
  5. No damage should be done to the books and literature kept in the library. The cost of any damage so caused will be recovered from the students.
  6. You should have your Identity card while sitting in the library. Please keep periodicals / books etc. at proper place after making use of them.

(D) Laboratory Decorum

  1. Read the procedure/ precautions taken about the experiment to conduct that experiment before starting the experiment .
  2. Imbibe sense of caution to ensure safety of person as well as equipments.
  3. Readings should be taken properly and correctly recorded in the notebook.
  4. Make sure to follow the instruction / modus operandi of the experiment before starting it to avoid their damages.
  5. Experimental performance / observation / findings should be recorded daily in the observation Note Book. Get it signed by your teacher the same day (there and then).
  6. After finishing the experiment materials, glassware, chemicals, instruments etc. should be placed at their allotted location with the help of the laboratory staff. Keep your lab clean.

(E) Examination Decorum

  1. It is essential to appear in all the mid semester tests and university examination at the end of each semester as per announced schedule. Parents/ guardians would be informed accordingly about the performance.
  2. Students must fill up the university examination form thoroughly and properly before the announced date. Failing this their right to appear in the examination may be cancelled.
  3. Use of any unfair means during the examination is a punishable offence and disciplinary action will be taken against defaulting students.
  4. Preparations for examination should be done on the basis of prescribed syllabus and previous university examination papers. In order to be familiar to the pattern of University examination always solve question from past examination papers.
  5. The students should have passion for getting higher score in the examination.

(F) Extra Curricular & Co- curricular Activities.

  1. For integrated and total personality development, the institute has a provision to form a Students Activity forum to build a confidence of leading a project. The forum is formed on the basis of merit giving due participation to all the classes.
  2. Annual week (Tech Fiesta) will be celebrated every year. Activities in which a student can participate are:  a) Sports              b) Cultural  c) Academic/co-curricular/ Innovations & d) Extension services (“concern for community”). Best participants will be  rewarded suitably.
  3. The institute is planning for a “Hobbies Center” where they can make best use of their leisure hours. You are advised to participate to sharpen your creative talent.
  4. You will be given opportunity to develop your personality & communication skill. Never miss the opportunity in your own interest.

(G)      College Uniform

  1. Students shall come to the college in clean and tidy uniform regularly.
  2. College uniform is White shirt, sky blue trousers and black shoes.
